about us Phillo Beukes founded the Hunters Medical Centre practice in 2001 upon his return to South Africa, after working in the United Kingdom for four years. Built on a philosophy of "correct diagnosis first time, every time", the emphasis of his practice was placed on serving the local community. The valuable experience gained by working in England and the knowledge gained from completing numerous post graduate courses and higher education studies not available in South Africa, shaped the vision of the practice: striving towards excellence in treatment and rehabilitation. Carli Theron joined the practice in 2007 for a year and then left at the end of 2007 to further her interest in shoulder rehabilitation in Pretoria. At the end of 2008, Sunette Meyer joined the practice and Carli was welcomed back in May 2009. Sunette Meyer became a full partner in the practice during November 2009. The practice is closely associated with the Knysna Life Healthcare Hospital situated right next door in Hunters Home.
